My first attempt at a blog post of ANY kind. This is my first proposed idea for a major trip. 3000 km. The general idea is to completely ride the coast of Florida. That is why the start location is set in Mobile Alabama, but we may in fact start in Buckingham or even meet up in Montgomery first. Once we finish Florida and hit Georgia the route is open to change. I very much want to ride up the east coast, which will be my next map so if we ride much higher is time permints even as north as Charleston South Carolina, that would take off some km (miles) off an east coast trip which will take MUCH longer. My idea for an east coast trip will be to ride up coast, not do much detours or site seeing. Mainly just ride for the views and ocean coast. On the way back down we will follow only a little more inland, but I presume zig zag to hit more of the sight seeing locations. For example skip DC on the way up and drive through DC on the way back down. it will make more sense when I make the map.
Ya know, my map had us going the opposite way, meaning from ATL all around FL ending in Pensacola. But actually I like this way better, it makes more sense. Maybe meet in Auburn, then go together to P-cola, then ride east around FL. Good point we could ride as far north as time permits.
